If you still haven't had your fill of Mercedes tuning this week, not to worry ladies and gentlemen, because we've got plenty more to bring you. First up comes a new wide body kit courtesy of the good folks at Japanese tuning firm Vitt Performance – a package that they call the Vitt Mercedes CL Super Wide Edition.

As you'd expect from a wide body kit, the main highlights include new front and rear aprons, widened fenders in both the front and back, new side skirts, a roof and trunk spoiler and a new vented hood. Another notable change is the presence of the always popular 20-inch wheels with performance tires, while a new stainless exhaust system completes Vitt's CL package.

If you're interested, pricing comes in at about $20,000 for the CL-Class conversion. Nissan has announced the next generation of its iconic Japanese-only GT-R performance car will be available in North America as a Nissan model, consistent with its global branding. The production GT-R will debut at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show. It is scheduled to go on sale in Japan in Fall 2007, followed by the U.S. and Canada in Spring 2008. More details on the GT-R launch will be available at a later date.

Then, at the 37th Tokyo Motor Show in 2003, Nissan announced the next-generation GT-R would be rolled out in 2007. The design of the GT-R PROTO expresses pure GT-R heritage, coming from the first model PGC10 (1969) through R34 (1999), in a new and expressive form. For the first time in its history, the new GT-R will be designed as a specific body style, and not derived from a sedan.
The rear of the GT-R PROTO is strong and well defined. The signature four ring-shaped tail lamps provide an immediate visual link to previous GT-R models. Four large-bore exhaust pipes complete the purposeful look, which could only be that of a pure GT-R. The GT-R PROTO provides for the first time a clear indication of the final design direction for the production model to be launched in 2007, the first all-new GT-R in eight years.

It will be powered by a 455 hp / 455lb ft lb engine that will take allow the M15 to accelerate from 0 – 60 mph in less than 3.3 seconds. 100 mph will be seen in less than 8 seconds, with a 185 mph top speed.
