Chevrolet Corvette 2012 gets mild

Chevrolet has revealed the Corvette C6 with some mild
upgrades for 2012, rather than the anticipated all new “C7” model. The
changes to the 2012 model are limited only to interior for the base model
and optional external changes for GM has announced the changes to the 2012 Chevy Corvette. The changes for 2012 are meant to improve the Corvette's on-track performance and on-road comfort.
The Z06 and ZR1 models will get even better performance thanks to new optional Michelin Pilot Sport Cup Zero Pressure tires. The tires are "competition-oriented" and are optimized for warm, dry conditions and increase the cornering and handling capability of the two-highest performing Corvette models. The tires are matched with all-new aluminum Cup-style wheels in satin black or machined finishes. When combined with the Corvette's Performance Traction Management (PTM) technology that manages torque delivery for maximum performance - the tires are expected to help set new benchmarks for Corvette performance. Engineers estimate an 8-percent gain in maximum lateral acceleration, to more than 1.1g, and improved braking distance.
The Z06 Corvette now gets Magnetic Selective Ride Control and an optional carbon fiber hood.  The standard manual transmission for the ZR1 gets taller gearing in fifth and sixth gears, which improves highway fuel economy by 2 mpg.
Inside all 2012 Corvettes get a new seat design and steering wheel. The seats have larger bolsters on the seat back and cushion areas. Microfiber suede seat inserts are optional. In 2012 the Corvette also gets a new nine-speaker Bose audio system.

New McLaren F1 Coming in 2012

Here's a juicy rumor for you: Autocar is reporting that McLaren will be introducing the successor to the incredible F1 supercar in 2012. If that seems a smidge early, it is. In its original plans, McLaren had said the new beast wouldn't surface until 2014 at the earliest, thanks largely to the company's efforts with the all-new MP4-12C. Instead, the Brits say that unnamed McLaren insiders have let it slip that the company is feverishly working on the new machine, going so far as to say that it will be "revolutionary" in both styling and performance. We would expect nothing less.

That's not to say we're swallowing the Autocar report hook, line and anonymous sinker. At this point, 2012 is a mere year and a half away, and while we have no doubt that the engineers at McLaren are slaving away on the successor to the F1 throne, that's just not enough time to bring a world class supercar into reality. So until someone from McLaren goes on the record with this one, we won't hold our breath for the world's next record breaker to hit the scene.

2012 New Fisker Karma

Treatment of serious and hard work, has now felt by the automotive companies on this one. Fisker Automotive is a company located in the U.S., its products are well known this time is the Fisker Karma. The Fisker Karma is a vehicle that uses electrical power to operate the machine. Seeing that hit the air pollution in

many countries, the Fisker Karma is equipped with environmentally friendly machine that is to enjoy doing and much sought-after consumers at this time. The car that practically has a pretty amazing speed, the car

also has many features that couples menajubkan. The Fisker Karma has a security system, a comfortable suspension and a variety of navigational equipment to assist the driver in the course. Simply beautiful is not it? yes, this car is unbelievably beautiful, sturdy, and has a stocky muscular to tread every path.
The Fisker Karma provides surprisingly easy entry and cozy accommodations for four grown-ups. A 10.2-inch screen replaces the usual forest of tiny infotainment buttons with audible, visual, and tactile responses to touch commands. Handling is a subject we can address with more confidence. The Fisker Karma has steering is endowed with real road feel and linear turn-in response. The ride is supple and minimal body roll when you fling the wheel; the low-mounted, 600-pound battery pack makes for an effective keel. Even though the rear wheels carry 53 percent of the Fisker Karma understeer awaiting those who visit the borderlands of grip. The brakes are calibrated to convert excess momentum into the maximum amount of charging energy without inflicting pedal weirdness.
The Fisker Karma lays a good foundation. Up front there‚ a 260-hp, GM-supplied four-cylinder engine spinning a mighty generator. Next in line is a 20-kWh, American-made lithium-ion battery pack. Twin AC motors straddling the rear axle deliver 402 horsepower to the differential. The propulsion system, the Brembo brakes, the 22-inch cast aluminum wheels, and the aluminum suspension components are supported by an aluminum space frame stitched together with 260 feet of welds and a thousand or so rivets. The Fisker Karma also has aluminum skin is finished with a solar-cell roof, a composite decklid, and plastic bumpers

The Savage GTR Rivale Style

Recently gave the Dutch makers of the car this trailer Fri And now we have something new to the fledgling brand to tell: they want a race version on the market. The Savage Rivale GTR.
Emile Pop Savage reports that the Rivale GTR on order will be built. If the demand is enormous, something that we can not exactly imagine, the production limited to 69 pieces. This race version will be just like his brother the GTS a GM V8 under the hood have. The LS9 block to be exact, good for 700 hp.
The tubular chassis was designed by the team itself and weighs only 115 kg. The smooth bottom (aka “suction deck) should offer the stability, up to 325 km / h. Then you probably rise. Initially it is a single-seater, but optional GTR can be supplied with multiple seats. We are wondering if and when this racer from The Hague sees the light.

Once a song is tagged and customers dock their iPod to the SYNC system, the “tagged” song information will transfer to that iPod. When the iPod is then synced to iTunes, a playlist of tagged songs will appear. Up to 100 tags on SYNC can be stored until the iPod is connected. When an iPod is connected, the tags are transferred from SYNC to the iPod. Customers then can preview, purchase and download tagged songs from the iTunes Store, if they so choose.

One significant benefit of HD Radio technology is that the sound quality of the broadcast is dramatically better because of the digital transmission – FM sounds like a CD and AM sounds like today’s FM broadcasts. Plus, unlike analog broadcasts, digital broadcasts aren’t susceptible to interference, fadeout and other issues.

The flowing exterior design of the 2011 Lincoln MKX provides the perfect complement to the luxury crossover’s industry-leading technology and class-exclusive features.

“The 2011 Lincoln MKX will be a real standout in the Lincoln showroom,” said Doyle Letson, chief designer. “The addition of the new split-wing grille, a key to Lincoln signature DNA, is just the start. The 2011 MKX has the best proportions of any Lincoln we have.

“The fender line, with the raised arch over the front wheel, as well as the lower rocker detail with beautifully tapered bright detail that runs the length of the vehicle, makes a dramatic difference in side view,” he added.

New for the 2011 model is an updated rear taillamp treatment. The lamps are now two distinct pieces that employ an indirect LED system that hides the light source while allowing the light intensity to shine through. The reverse sensors of the Blind Spot Information System are integrated into the reflectors while the Lincoln star sits proudly on a new appliqué. The 4-inch oval exhaust tips, significantly larger on the 2011 Lincoln MKX, also increase the unique luxury crossover’s presence.

The new 18- and 20-inch wheels are more dynamic and expressive. Instead of a familiar linear or blocky appearance, the wheels encompass a variety of undulating and complex shapes that help the 2011 Lincoln MKX appear always in motion. The vibrant wheel shapes again underscore the enhanced craftsmanship and attention to detail found throughout the 2011 Lincoln MKX.
